Responding to Opioid Overdoses and Treating Opioid Use Disorder: A Landscape Analysis of Chicago’s West and South Side
With support from the Chicago Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the landscape analysis project aimed to identify barriers to care for people living with opioid use disorder (OUD) and individuals at risk of of an opioid-involved overdose residing in Chicago community areas experiencing disproportionate overdose rates. 2020 Hospital Opioid Treatment and Response Learning Collaborative
From July to December 2020, the Hospital Opioid Treatment and Response Learning Collaborative brought hospital teams together to support and facilitate conversation around best practices, implementation, and quality improvement as it relates to caring for people with opioid use disorder and/or those who are at risk for opioid overdose.
2019 Learning Collaborative Evaluation Report
From April to December 2019, clinical leaders from nine hospitals in Cook County worked together to share best practices and apply quality improvement to better serve people with opioid use disorder in the first phase of the Alliance for Health Equity’s Hospital Opioid Treatment and Response Learning Collaborative. The evaluation report, prepared by the American Institutes for Research, outlines the learning collaborative and demonstration site goals, structure, results, lessons learned, and opportunities.
