Alliance for Welcoming Health Care
The Illinois Alliance for Welcoming Healthcare is an alliance of community organizations, policy groups, and more than 20 health care providers and systems that have come together to make health care institutions in Illinois as welcoming as possible for the immigrant community. The Alliance offers various resources to support the immigrant community in understanding their rights and receiving services.
Between the Great Migration and Growing Exodus: The Future of Black Chicago
The University of Illinois at Chicago’s Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy (IRRPP) analyzed what the data on population in Chicago can describe about black migration into and out of the city. In the report, Between the Great Migration & Growing Exodus: The Future of Black Chicago?, IRRPP assesses the historical context of shifts taking place over the past 100 years, provide a more detailed analysis of population change across Chicago neighborhoods from 1990 to 2016, and examine where Chicagoans who are leaving the city are going.

Toward Universal Mobility: Charting a Path to Improve Transportation Accessibility
Nearly every person in the Chicago region, or someone they care for, will face a disability that will impact their mobility at some point in their life. A public transportation system should meet the needs of all its customers, no matter their age or ability. That’s why the Metropolitan Planning Council worked with partners to craft 32 recommendations to improve Chicagoland’s transportation network.
